Lakrikh Siham is a PhD student at the Sustainable Development Laboratory-University Sultan Moulay Slimane, Beni Mellal, Morocco. In addition she had a master's degree on Chemoinformatics and Advanced Spectroscopic Analyzes. Her research focuses experimental and theoretical study (Gaussian software QSAR method) therapeutic molecules and that under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Jouiati. The thesis evokes the synthesis of molecules for therapeutic purposes, but the experimental path is long and expensive. The aim of this thesis is to associate the theoretical approaches through the Gaussian software and QSAR method, to search for target molecules whose Biological Activity could be interesting, then use the Molecular docking method, method specifically developed to study the interactions between a protein and a substrate or the molecular system, as well as the base in silico screening.She decided to pursue her doctorate hoping to bring more to humanity. But also she look forward to being part of a stimulating exchange and creation of ideas in the scientific world.

The relationship between the biological activity of compounds with their molecular structure constitutes a way of predicting in rational drug design. Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships (QSARs) is one of the most important areas in Chemo metrics, it is based on the development of mathematical equations linking the chemical structure of a compound to its biological activity. QSAR is an attempt to correlate the molecular structure, or properties derived from the molecular structure with a particular type of biochemical activity. The properties of the compounds can be determined by the DFT method, and to quantify the relationship between descriptive and experimental activity multiple linear regression (MLR) is used. We worked, following the previous approach, on Twenty-two chemical compounds with the same parent molecule but with different functional groups. The results show a good correlation between structure / biological activity (IC50). And for a possible use of these molecules in the pharmaceutical field, we studied their compliance with Lipinski rules.

Prof. Zhu as leader or the main participant has completed 4 national 973, 863, and key R&D projects, 6 National Natural Science Funds, 1 national "Ninth Five-Year Plan" research project, 4 provincial and ministerial key projects, and 1 National Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. In recent years, Prof. Zhu has published more than 100 papers in academic journals at home or abroad. Over 80 SCI, EI and ISTP research papers can be searched. 50 invention patents have applied and 30 invention patents have authorized. She also has published 3 monographs, 2 translated copies, and 6 publish books as the chief editor or deputy editor.

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) with advantages of theoretical Zero-pollution, high energy conversion efficiency, and low operating temperature, can be widely used in portable mobile power, fixed power stations and transport areas. However, an efficient Pt base catalyst is generally required for catalyzing the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) on the cathode of PEMFCs. The development of low cost, highly active, and durable catalysts has been an urgent task for promoting the wide application of PEMFCs. In this work, a series of carbon supported chemically ordered Pt-Fe-Ni NPs (Pt-Fe-Ni/C) were synthesized using a microwave-assisted polyol method and followed by thermal annealing without capping agent and surfactant. This synthesis resulted in a very even dispersion of 4 nm particles as seen in Fig. 1(a), and that the particles present a fct phase as shown in Fig.1(b) wherein the Pt and Fe/Ni atoms are arranged in alternating atomic planes. The electrochemical tests show that the ORR catalytic activities of Pt-Fe-Ni/C is 0.51 A/mgPt (Fig.1(e)). And the stability tests show that the ordered catalysts are electrochemically stable and the chemically ordered structure was well remained after 5000 potential cycles.

Mohamed Ouladsmane holds a Master's degree in Physical Chemistry of Polymers, he wants to enroll in the PhD in Analytical Chemistry in the field of preparation of interconnected monolithic columns for chromatography. he was trained under the supervision of Prof. T. Aouak in the field of polymers (2008-2014) and under the supervision of Prof. A. Y. H. A. Badjah and Prof. Z. A. Al-Othman in the field of chromatography (2014-to-present). he was interest in the development of chromatographic columns to separate and determine compounds in different samples such as oils, food and environmental samples. He was work in different fields such as the separation of azeotropic compounds and breakdown of microemulsions using the technique of pervaporation, drug delivery, polymer blending, biopolymers, synthesis and characterization of polymers.

Problem Statement: Monolithic columns were developed about twenty years ago; they are successfully used in various fields as a good alternative for particulate packed HPLC columns. There are two categories of monolithic columns: in the first type the single piece porous rod is prepared out of the column, then introduced in the tubing and attached to the inner surface by a cladding process. Its diameter is 2 mm or more. In the second category which corresponds generally to capillary columns, the monolithic porous material is prepared in the column tubing and chemically attached to the inner walls. The present work describes the preparation of monolithic columns by in-situ polymerization of small monomers in ordinary glass tube. The inner diameter of the glass tube is 2 mm. Methodology: the glass tube was first treated by chemical activation to increase the hydroxyl group content on its inner walls by sodium hydroxide, then rinsed by deionized water followed by chlorohydric acid and rinsed by deionized water, thus dried under nitrogen gas. The inner surface of the pretreated glass tube was then vinylized by using 3-trimethoxysilyl propyl methacrylate. A mixture of monomers, crosslinker, porogenic solvents and activator was prepared then filled into glass column; the thermal polymerization was carried out by keeping the glass tube column in oven at 70°C during 24 h. Each column was connected to HPLC pump and washed thoroughly with acetonitrile to remove the unreacted materials and porogenic solvents. Results: the prepared glass columns with a monolithic stationary phase showed a good mechanical stability and a total porosity of about 83%. Application of the prepared monolithic columns in HPLC gave good results for separation of series of alkylbenzenes and aromatics, with resolution factors higher than 1.2. Conclusion: Glass tube monolithic columns can be easily prepared without using any cladding process; they can be successfully used in various chromatographic separations instead of fused silica capillary columns or stainless steel conventional columns.

Her research focuses experimental and theoretical study of photovoltaic molecules using Gaussian software and that under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Jouiati. my thesis is based on the exploration of new theoretical inorganic molecules used in photovoltaic cells to produce electrical energy by the TDDFT method. Time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) is a quantum mechanical theory used in physics and chemistry to investigate the properties and dynamics of many-body systems in the presence of time-dependent potentials, such as electric or magnetic fields. The effect of such fields on molecules and solids can be studied with TDDFT to extract features like excitation energies, frequency-dependent response properties, and photoabsorption spectra. She decided to pursue her doctorate hoping to bring more to humanity. But also She look forward to being part of a stimulating exchange and creation of ideas in the scientific world

In this work, we apply the method of tddft to a theortical photovoltaic molecules, as the search for renewable energy sources. we study the molecular orbital HOMO and LUMO to discover of efficiency and cheap technology that can exploiting the sunlight to make electricity. A (standard) DSSC is a photoelectrochemical system which converts photons from the sun into electrical work in a three step process.First,the photons are absorbed by a molecular dye which is anchored to a semi-conductor nanoparticle (typically TiO2). Next, the excited electrons on the dye are transferred to the conduction band of the semiconductor and extracted to an external circuit. In the last step the electron is transferred from the counter electrode and back to the dye using an electrolyte .
